Timeless, elegant, and romantic to the core. Those are just a few words to describe Andrea & Cam’s gorgeous wedding at the Chicago History Museum that we were so lucky to be a part of this past July! Because Andrea is also in the wedding industry, we were so honored that she chose us to bring her floral vision to life!
The color palette of blush, ivory, & lavender that Andrea chose was a perfect compliment to the season and also to their venue. The Chicago History Museum is stunning! If you are looking for a classic Chicago venue then you must check it out! The soft gray walls of the venue provided the perfect backdrop for the light shimmering gold linens and pastel flowers that adorned the tables. The centerpieces were designed in gold mercury glass compotes and filled with the most romantic blooms. White hydrangea, peach & blush garden roses, lavender stock, pink lisianthus, and touches of eucalyptus provided a very elegant and timeless look for the centerpieces.
Andrea’s bouquet was so beautiful, I wanted to submerge my face in it… Peonies are also one of her favorite flowers, and with their wedding falling at the end of July, one … Read More »
Rachel & Abe were married this past spring at the Danada House in Wheaton, IL. The Danada house is a beautiful venue surrounded by open fields filled with galloping horses — to put it simply, the perfect outdoor setting for a ceremony.
The couple wanted a rustic feel without feeling too grungy. With a soft color palate of lavender, mint, and ivory, combined with a mix of wooden vases and mercury compotes, I’d say we hit it on the head with this one. This multi-textured bouquet consisting of sweet pea, lavender, lisianthus, peonies, garden roses, dusty miller, and brunnia berries was one of our favorites to create and the outcome was nothing short of stunning.
Thanks to Matushek Photography for the gorgeous images below!
We were thrilled when Lidia of Codrean Photography & Films asked us to collaborate on a Spring Bridal shoot for Alice Padrul Bridal Couture! We put together some lush Spring bouquets, a beautiful centerpiece and a delicate floral crown for the shoot. Alice Padrul provided the beautiful gowns from her new line, EA Photography worked his magic on the model’s hair & makeup, and the models, Christine Coropca & Marina Rokvic rocked it. Lidia & Ruben captured all of the details beautifully! I had a hard time narrowing down the photos, they are all so beautiful! I absolutely love how these two are a husband and wife photography & videography team. What a perfect combination. Enjoy the photos below and click HERE to view the video.
A huge Thanks to Lidia for all of the stunning photos!!
Thanks to everyone who ordered Mother’s Day flowers from Life in Bloom for the special women in their lives! Here are a few images of some of our favorite arrangements that we created!
My Husband created this last arrangement for his Mother. How sweet, he’s pretty good too! 😉
The delicate and fragrant Sweet Pea is this week’s featured flower. The Sweet Pea is one of our favorite flowers for bouquets over here at Life in Bloom. You really can’t beat it’s sweet scent. Because of it’s delicate and fluffy texture, it is the perfect addition to any bridal bouquet. They are also a great accent flower in centerpieces and they are available in an array of colors ranging from; white, light pink & champagne to hot pink, lilac purple, and a deep darker purple. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of working on one of my fellow designer’s wedding. She carried the most gorgeous bouquet made up of solely Sweet Pea. I wish I had a picture because it was stunning. Since I don’t, these images will just have to do..enjoy!
