Venue Spotlight: Artifact Events

Posted on March 15th, by Life in Bloom in blog, Event Design Trends. No Comments

It’s Wednesday and although we are coming to the end of our venue spotlights, we still have some incredible venues to show you before jumping back into our wedding season! Today’s venue is a stunning, industrial venue in Ravenswood, known as Artifact Events.

Venue: Artifact Events

Capacity: 200-320 Guests for Seated Reception

Location: Ravenswood

About:

Located just miles from downtown Chicago, Artifact Events is an ideal space for a city couple. Guests are able to choose if they would like to avoid the hustle of downtown, or embrace the city and stay in one of the hotels if they choose. Now, let’s talk about the space! The venue has so much charm, a gorgeous courtyard, and still keeps a unique vibe. The exposed ceilings and wrought iron details give it an edgy feel and with the access to the outdoor courtyard for a romantic ceremony or cocktail hour, there’s not much more you could ask for!

Tips:

We love to see a lot of greenery in this space to maintain the rustic and raw vibe. Go a little wild on the gate outside if you are having your ceremony there, it really livens up the courtyard which can otherwise appear a … Read More »

Chicago Wedding Venues

Today we are chatting about some of the most spectacular wedding venues/event spaces that Chicago has to offer.  There are wide variety of venues to choose from in this wonderful city and we wanted to highlight some of our favorites.

1. Cafe Brauer

I may be a little biased, but since my husband and I got married here it will always hold a special place in my heart.  With the gorgeous prairie style architecture and the spectacular views of Lincoln Park and the city skyline as seen from the loggias, what’s not to love?  It’s a beautiful oasis for a Chicago wedding set in the middle of the park.  Perfect for those couples wanting a downtown Chicago wedding with the feel of the outdoors & nature as well.  Photos by Kina Wicks Photography.

2. Garfield Park Conservatory

This space is a real gem hidden in the west side of Chicago.  Nestled amongst some beautiful gardens, there are so many gorgeous spaces both inside and out of the Conservatory including horticulture hall, the fern room, and many more.  This ceremony & reception (seen below) at the Conservatory was one of our favorite weddings that we produced this past year. Mid America Club Colorful Spring Wedding

Posted on June 5th, by Life in Bloom in blog. No Comments

Kate & Joe’s wedding was one for the books with some of the most perfect florals, in my opinion.  Their color palette was filled with gold, blush, and corals.  Kate’s bouquet was by far my favorite thing about this wedding and one of my all-time favorite bouquets to date!  We made a cascading bouquet full of the MOST gorgeous coral charm peonies, peach juliet roses, delicate sweet pea, ranunculus.  I could go on and on.  The flower gods truly sent us the most beautiful flowers for their wedding.  The bouquet complimented Kate’s gold dress beautifully.

Kate & Joe held their colorful Spring wedding at the Mid America Club, which is on the 80th floor of the AON tower.  Let me tell you, the view up there is incredible.  The room boasts expansive views of both Millennium Park and the lake.  For the centerpieces we used a variety of mercury glass candles to create different candlescapes on each table as they were holding a cocktail style reception.  The abundance of candlelight complimented the twinkling skyline perfectly.

Kate & Joe we loved working with you on your beautiful & fun wedding!!  Thanks for including us in your most special day.
