As much as we love a classic spring palette, there is something about fall colors that stand out amongst the rest. Christina and Mark’s Fall Wedding at 19 East was one of our absolute favorites. Not one detail was missed with Christina’s fall-chic style and the help of Wrap it Up Events.
The ceremony and reception both took place at 19 East, which has a striking simplicity to the overall space, with an industrial undertone.
For the ceremony, a birch arch was covered in a lush floral garland and the aisle was flanked with two large and extremely textural arrangements. Other amazing details could be found in the boxwood wall for the escort cards, some uber-chic velvet furniture for the lounge groupings, and subtle touches of artichoke here and there.
The bridesmaid’s bouquets were filled with cafe au lait dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, scabiosa, and multiple types of greenery. Christina stayed with a classic all-white bouquet, which made perfect sense once we saw her stunning beaded gown that really stole the show.
When we originally began planning with Mark and Christina, we created a rendering for their wedding to give them a visual of what we had in mind for the room. Below we have photos of the day … Read More »
This modern rivers wedding proves that different can be beautiful. When Susan began her process with us, she had a unique vision for her wedding. She wanted a modern and natural wedding with many architectural elements like hanging terrariums, succulents, and manzanita branches.
The bouquets were a gorgeous combination of peonies, roses, freesia, anemones, and brunnia berries. Susan and her bridesmaids looked stunning in all white with hints of grey, navy and greenery from the bouquets.
Hanging from the ceremony arch were floral-filled terrariums, such a unique and stunning addition to the ceremony. Trickling into the cocktail hour were details of succulents that ultimately led to the modern arrangements on the reception tables. With planning by Amelia Cole Events and photography by Greyes Photography the wedding had a wonderful vendor team and a seamless day throughout.
We wish Susan and Matt the very best for their new chapter together, here are some of our favorite photos from the big day:

Details can truly make a wedding, and that is exactly what made Jaime and Tom’s one to remember. There was not one detail overlooked. The custom bars, neon sign, custom throw pillows, topiaries, suspended trellis, and so much more. With the flawless planning of La Belle Fleur Events, stunning calligraphy of Allie Hasson, delicious catering of J & L Catering, beautiful photos from Jessica Eileen Photography, and lovely lighting by Frost Chicago, the Morgan Manufacturing wedding came together perfectly.
From the very first meeting we were incredibly excited to start working on their wedding. Jaime’s style was clean and polished, with an added touch of greenery and gold accents. The bouquets were filled with white ranunculus, garden roses, spray roses, succulents, green tric dianthus, and geranium. The perfect pop against Jaime’s Romona Keveza gown and the bridesmaids’ white J Crew dresses.
The rooftop cocktail hour was dressed with custom white bars, gold pineapples, custom throw pillows and succulents to create the ultimate summer vibe. Guests leaned against custom pillows with Jaime and Tom’s new family crest by Allie Hasson printed on them, while gazing at the stunning view of Chicago’s skyline. And after cocktail hour was up, everyone was then invited … Read More »
One of our favorite moments of 2016 so far was creating Catherine and Jesse’s flower wall at City Winery. The outdoor patio made for the perfect ceremony spot: ivy covered walls, planter boxes filled with greenery, wooden barrels, and the gorgeous white and pink flower wall. The sweet couple, with exceptional style, were wed in front of the flower wall that was later repurposed behind their sweetheart table.
The reception space that doubles as a concert venue was set with lush garlands filled with hydrangea, peonies, roses, spray roses, and mums. Tall, glass candles adorned the garlands to create the perfect dinner ambiance. The wedding from start to finish was romantic and organic, just how we like it!
We wish Catherine and Jesse years of happiness! Check out their stunning wedding below captured by Timothy Whaley Photography:

One of our very favorite combinations of style, vendors, and overall perfection was Martha and Alex’s wedding this past April. The couple tied the knot at The Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago and then continued the celebration at one of our favorite hidden spots, The Saddle and Cycle Club.
Ivory candle sticks, romantic draping, and a boxwood wall for place cards, were just a few of our favorite details. (Besides Martha’s stunning lace and tulle ballgown!) The romantic and organic palette consisted of white peonies, sweet pea, anemones, O’hara garden roses, blush rice flower, eucalyptus, olive, dusty miller, and more. The palette flawlessly complimented the amazing watercolor calligraphy of Emily Rose Ink.
The entire day was captured by one of our very favorite fine art photographers, Clary Pfeiffer. Martha and Alex were so wonderful to work with and we wish them many years of love and happiness!

Catie & Jon’s wine-country inspired wedding was a perfect fit at the Danada House. The rustic elegance of the venue combined with wine barrels, pastel florals, and Catie’s stunning blush lace dress, made this wedding one to remember.
The ceremony was set with two large wine barrels each holding a large organic arrangement filled with eucalyptus, bay leaves, snapdragon, roses, astilbe, Cafe Au Lait dahlias, pink snowberry, queen anne’s lace, and more. The ladies’ navy dresses made the pastel florals pop beautifully, as did the linens on the reception tables.
The dusty blue succulents in every bouquet tied all of the colors together perfectly. Thank goodness we had our friends Artistrie Co. capturing the day and La Belle Fleur Events making sure it ran smoothly.
We hope this sweet couple enjoys their memories of this day forever. Check out a few shots their big day below! Their wedding was also featured in the Summer/Fall Issue of The Knot on newsstands now!

Sarah and Alex were one of the sweetest couples we have ever met here at Life in Bloom. From the very beginning we knew they were going to be lovely to work with and they were just that. Their Galleria Marchetti Wedding was set on one of the hottest days of the summer, but that didn’t stop Sarah from looking unbelievably stunning and it certainly did not drain their spirits one bit. The two even stopped for ice cream during their pictures, that’s our kind of couple!
The ceremony was set outside in front of Galleria’s large trellis. We draped white fabric from beam to beam to add a hint of romance as well as added chair decor to match the color palette. Guests were greeted with a moss “N” that hung on the gates of Galleria to signify their new last initial. Our boxwood wall hung a timeline of their years together and even ended with their first look on the same day that planners, La Belle Fleur Events, had developed before the ceremony.
Inside the tented reception was a white, blush and gray palette. Silver compotes, candles, and lanterns filled the reception tables where Sarah and Alex’s closest family and friends enjoyed dinner … Read More »
“We want them to be different, but still go together perfectly.” Although these two special brides were talking about their bouquets, they did not realize that it was a perfect description of them as a couple as well. Megan and Kelly’s Kitchen Chicago wedding was romantic, organic, and full of love!
The couple started the day with a first look, where their peony and greenery bouquets complimented their dresses effortlessly. The bridesmaids, a squad of only sisters, carried simpler versions of theirs.
When we began the floral process, the girls did not know exactly what they wanted for the reception, which took place at Kitchen Chicago, but they loved the idea of garlands filled with white wax-flower and spray roses. They ended up having long tables which worked perfectly for the garlands. Hydrangea and greenery tall arrangements stood at the front of their altar, while cafe lights were strung throughout the entire venue. The entire day was beautiful, simple, and yet minimalistic.
The day was shot by the talented Stephanie Bassos. We wish Kelly and Megan a lifetime of happiness. Enjoy this small snapshot of their day below.
Galleria Marchetti is one of our favorite Chicago wedding venues to work at. With it’s beautiful outdoor ceremony space and a newly upgraded tent, this truly unique venue offers couples a chance to create something stunning with a relatively blank slate. This year our team has a total of three weddings there (two of which we have already produced, and one more this coming September). Today we are sharing photos from Mary & Stephen’s June wedding at Galleria Marchetti with planning by Five Grain Events and photos by Gerber & Scarpelli.
Some of our favorite elements of their big day were the custom moss covered letter which welcomed guests into the courtyard for cocktail hour, the moss covered escort-card table, and of course the most beautiful tall focal arrangements as centerpieces.
The overall palette of peonies, hydrangea, ranunculus all in shades of soft whites and blushes with tufts of greenery helped paint a perfectly classic and romantic ambience throughout the tent. Mary & Stephen were the sweetest couple and so deserving of such a beautiful wedding celebration. We have no doubt that they will enjoy an extremely long and joyful life together! Cheers!

Nancy and Patrick’s classic Palmer House wedding was one to remember. On top of being so easy to work with, they trusted us to make their vision come to life. This sweet couple wanted a romantic and classic palette for their special day, so that is exactly what we did. Mixed with a rich, chocolate brown linen, the florals were filled with hydrangea, peonies, roses, and other textures. Ann and Kam Photography captured the entire day beautifully below.
